PERU - RETREAT, 2024
You and your friends and family will never forget this experience. As you begin exploring Cusco and the Sacred Valley, you will quickly see that the Incan heartland harbors picturesque landscapes and vibrant cultural customs alongside its prominent ruins.
Practicing yoga in these magical and energetically powerful places will be an experience on it's own.
The first time I was able to help someone, I realized how much I loved yoga and how I knew this was my path. One of my most consistent students had been in a car accident in her younger years, she had great discomfort in her pelvic floor and a very tight lower back. She mentioned after a sustainable yoga practice she no longer felt like a stranger in her body. She was able to move more freely and overall she felt more connected and empowered in her life. It was wonderful to see that her dedication to her practice translated into her regular life. This was exactly the reason why I wanted to continue teaching to participate in the journey of recovery, health, strength and softness.
I was born in Brazil and raised in Ecuador by European parents.
I came to California in 2001 where I was immediately introduced to yoga. I have a difficult time explaining where I am from due to living in different places, speaking different languages and truly understanding all these different cultures. I have decided that I am a disguised German/Dutch woman with a true Latina heart living in the Bay Area.
I enrolled in a Teacher Training program at Avalon Yoga in Palo Alto in 2007. After becoming a certified instructor, I felt inspired to get Prenatal Yoga Certifications in 2008. Prenatal Yoga opened doors to teach Baby and me Yoga as well. Aside from that I received the Advanced Level attunement certificate for Integrated Energy Therapy in 2008 and attended the Kids yoga certificate at It’s Yoga Kids in 2017.
My sessions are designed with your unique needs in mind. My style is definitely on the mid-to a high level in intensity. However, my main purpose is to adapt to the needs and
levels of the yogis in class. Finding the balance between strength and softness is the goal.
I enjoy teaching a variety of yoga classes, for adults, kids, Baby and Me, Prenatal and also private sessions. I have been teaching actively for 14 years, and starting 2017 I have been organizing Family-Friendly Yoga retreats to Mexico and now to Galapagos, Ecuador.
I consider myself a warrior that encourages people to never give up!
